Checked out of hotel, drove down to village of St Martin south of Neustadt.
Lunch back in Mussbach w/ Dr. Baer & his wife, whose greatgrandfather was a Bassler. They live in a 150+ year old home originally built and owned by family. Turns out not a Bassler connection with our line, but with some more digging, discovered living direct descendants of Frederich's brother August still living in Stuttgart and Munich. Called one, talked to daughter Lerissa. Recorded a couple of hours of audio throughout the afternoon, hoping to release a 3-disc set complete with bonus tracks by end of year.
Drove down to suburb outside of Stuttgart to stay w/ friends Steve & Cheryl. Steve's not a fan of the red tile, but we dig it.
Pix in archway of folks is great! Also pix number 5 could be a postcard, I didn't realize it was so beautiful there!!
